You can identify your fine type by examining the fine documentation issued to you:
Parking Tickets and Penalties Issued Against Stationary Vehicles are usually short tickets issued inside a sealed package and affixed to your vehicle.

Tickets Issued by Police or other enforcement officers are usually long narrow tickets as shown opposite. Please note that you cannot pay endorsable fines issued by Police Officers.

A Fine Issued by the Procurator Fiscal's Office will be issued to you by a letter sent from the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) as shown opposite.

|
10 Digit Fines Account Reference issued by SCTS. You may have a 10 digit reference number on a letter or other document sent by a Sheriff Court or Justice of the Peace court. Some examples are shown opposite. |
