How do I Identify my Fine Type?

Scottish Courts & Tribunals Service

Fine issue by the Scottish Courts & Tribunals Service will have an Account Number,  is a 10 digit number, for example 2024-123456. It is printed on fine documentation, letters or receipts produced by the Court and will have a prefix of 'ACC' or 'Account No'. Please note that your Account Number is not the reference with a prefix of 'SCS'.

Police Scotland or Safety Camera Partnerships (excludes stationary vehicle offences)

Tickets Issued by Police Scotland or Safety Camera Partnerships (excludes stationary vehicle offences), are usually long narrow tickets. Please note you may not be able to pay endorsable fines online.

A Fine Issued by the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscals Service will be issued to you by a letter sent from the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS).
